Control lighting from MIDI inside the WavePhase graph
MIDI is the booth safety layer. Input is on every WavePhase tier. Learn faders and pads into Live Control, or wire MIDI values straight into the graph for blackout, colour and masters while DSP still drives the wash.
Who this is for
DJs and operators who want a physical blackout, master and colour override without leaving the booth.
Who it is not for
Anyone expecting MIDI notes to 'understand' a track. MIDI here is control data, not musical-structure analysis.
Setup that survives a show
Learn, then label
Bind a controller with MIDI learn and name the pad. A mystery CC at 2 a.m. is not a feature.
Blackout owns its own pad
Do not share blackout with a DSP-mapped flash. One dedicated kill, tested before doors.
DSP underneath, hands on top
Keep beat and spectral looks running. MIDI overrides them when the room needs a hold or a cut.

Controller feedback depends on the hardware. WavePhase cannot invent motorised faders the device does not have.
